About us

The Family Workshop is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of different generations and cultures. Our bilingual members total more than 80 years of experience in the fields of probation, law enforcement, communication and education. We share two primary purposes: Guide and Support at risk adolescent and their parents in Monterey County.

Our Mission Statement

The Mission of The Family Workshop of Monterey County is to educate and motivate adolescents toward positive role models with the help and support of their parents and family. We recognize that in our society today all teens are at Risk. It is our firm belief that the neighborhood in which a teen lives does not have to determine their future.

Exposure to gang mentality, drugs and alcohol use and abuse, along with bullying, depression and anxiety are major problems. This is according to a new Pew Research Center Survey for teens 13 to 17.

Our goal is to support Families by reinforcing positive values in their Children.

Education is the most powerful weapon for changing the world.
